About the author
Caroline Koehler obtained a double masters of science in special education and general education from Indiana State University.
She has instructed children with special needs in the school setting, childcare setting, and home environment and has experience with individuals with disabilities from birth through adolescence.
Caroline became intrigued with children and autism while teaching kindergarten.
Later, she worked as a developmental therapist instructing families and caregivers on useful techniques to advance infants and toddlers with developmental delays.
Caroline also facilitated a special education classroom exclusively for students with autism aged kindergarten through sixth grade who were significantly delayed cognitively, behaviorally, or socially.
She has served as both a special education inclusion teacher and an autism consultant for children within the public schools and is eager to offer advice, suggestions, and support.
Caroline is passionate about the use of visuals including schedules, monitoring controls, cue cards, and social stories.
Often asked what it takes to work with children and adolescents with intense needs, she always answers the same: Treat the individuals and families with respect and dignity; the rest will come.
This autism activities set can also be useful for students, teachers, and families with young children or those with special needs to use during distance learning, home, therapy, and school.

This resource includes lots of great ideas for use with children on the autistic spectrum. Each activity is very well laid out and explained. I didnโt think it could be used with google classroom but the creator kindly emailed me with instructions on how to do this. Thanks so much Caroline.
