Description

First, Then boards for autism Christmas support are simple yet perfect tools for students with autism, ADHD, or ADD who need extra support with behavior, focus, and following school rules.

These boards, whether using “First, Then” or “First, Next, Then,” allow students to choose a reward after completing a teacher-selected goal.

For instance, if the goal is for a student to finish their work, the “Do your work” picture is placed under “First” on the board.

The student-selected incentive goes under “Then,” chosen either by the student or the teacher.

When the student achieves the goal, the reward is immediately given.

These boards are valuable in schools for general and special education teachers, specialists, and therapists, and many parents find them useful at home too.

They’re particularly effective for behavior motivation and autism support during the winter months, especially around Christmas and throughout December.

The Christmas Activity for Autism behavior board set includes

  • First, Then Boards sized 5” * 3” with 12 Christmas backgrounds + 5 solid colors
  • First, Next, Then Boards sized 7.75” * 3” with 12 Christmas backgrounds + 5 solid colors
  • Choice Boards with 8 boxes for desired rewards
  • 29 Academically Focused goals for “First”
  • 29 Life Skills goals for “First”
  • 54 popular incentive choices for positive reinforcement

First-Then and First-Next-Then boards are valuable tools for motivating students who need an extra push or have behavior plans.

I often include these boards in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with behavior goals.

They come with printable boards featuring popular goals and incentive pictures, as well as blank boxes for adding original pictures.

For best results, print these in color, laminate them, and attach Velcro to the cards, dots, and reward pictures.

I frequently use these boards for students with autism in general education classrooms.

The visual aids help students connect a goal with a desired reward, increasing the likelihood of goal completion.

The choice boards are a crucial aspect of the First-Then & First-Next-Then boards.

Students choose between 4-8 incentives they want to work for, and then select one for a reward.

This picture card is placed on the First, Then board. Students can choose a different reward at the start of each new goal on the card.

If there’s a goal or incentive not included in this packet, feel free to message me, and I’ll gladly add it for you before or after you download.

These autism Christmas boards are a great tool for managing behavior problems in the classroom.
