Description

The Effort Tool Monitor is an effective tool for both general education students and students with learning disabilities including autism.

This gives students who need extra motivation and strategies to put out the effort to complete work tasks.

Pages with picture icons and text define what students can do while providing them with learning strategies.

Separate pages discuss what is not appropriate for a learning environment and how a student can focus.

Lastly, a leveled monitor, inspired by a countdown strip and a stop light, helps students more fully understand the importance of effort and what they need to do to be successful in their work.

Effort Tool Monitor set includes

  • I’m Ready to Work (2 pages)
  • I Gave Up. It is NOT okay to… (1 page)
  • Stop! Turn off the other things in your mind! (1 page)
  • Effort Tool Monitor with printable arrows (3 versions)
  • How to Directions

Want to check out the whole bundle?  Click here to see this plus 25 other visual monitors.

Choose which size of chart to use, a full page chart in larger font, a smaller more mobile chart or a smaller chart with extra descriptors.

I use these for students to keep at their work areas, in their folders or even wear on a lanyard around the neck.

Glue the printed chart on construction paper or cardstock.

Laminate and cut out.

Use the supplied arrow and tape it to a clothespin.

This allows the teacher, parent or student to move the arrow to the appropriate time category.

If a clothespin is too cumbersome, use a paperclip to easily move around.

This effort tool set is effective for both general education students and students with learning disabilities including autism.
