Description

Do you have students or children who have difficulty understanding the consequences on stealing and need stealing help to drop the addiction?

Are you working with individuals who have begun stealing or steal often?

Is an extra explanation and visual needed to discuss the significance and consequences of stealing?

The stealing set is a visual monitoring tool designed to guide kids on consequences of stealing.

This visual scale is an engaging and interactive way to teach children about the consequences of stealing, and the impact it can have on themselves and others.

With this tool, kids will learn to identify the different levels of stealing, from taking something small from a friend to stealing from a store.

Consequences on Stealing Monitor includes

  • 1 small stealing monitor
  • 1 large (8.5*11) stealing chart
  • 1 large detailed stealing chart for teaching purposes
  • Directions for utilizing the stealing chart

The scale also includes potential consequences for each level of stealing, helping kids understand the severity of their actions.

Print the desired chart to use depending on the student’s ability level and need.

Glue the printed chart on construction paper or cardstock.

Laminate and cut out.

Use the supplied arrow and tape it to a clothespin.

This allows the teacher to move the arrow to the appropriate category.

If a clothespin is to cumbersome, use a paperclip to easily move around.

I highly recommend that this tool be used in a discussion format with the teacher and student talking through the issues.

Then after teaching moments, the tool can be used in real situations to help the student monitor his or her behavior.

This tool is effective for both young and old general education students and students with learning disabilities including autism.

The stealing visual is an excellent resource for parents, educators, and therapists who work with children struggling with stealing behaviors.

Great to teach my students and help them self monitor

  3. Andrea T. –

I purchased this years ago for a few students who were stealing from my classroom and in the community. I have been able to use this so many times throughout the years and have printed and laminated it and sent it home with my students to have continued same language. Last year, I was able to use with my own daughter. It really put a visual to stealing and how it affects relationships and trust.

  4. Madison K. –

    Amazing resource!

  5. Anna S. –

I use this social story with a client with ASD who has significant issues with stealing and understanding the results of his actions. I really like the visual aspect of this resource and the varying levels and consequences.
