Then, select and edit a goal the students should focus on.
For students with alternate curriculum and those with a life skills focus in special education, I often choose the Mathematical Application Goals.
These goals allow the teacher to use nearly every single daily practice problem for progress monitoring.
Other math goals across the practice are labeled in the bottom corner of the individual daily practice and within the bottom border of the student record keeping pages.
Save the student record keeping pages as your evidence for progress.
Use the studentโs answers to calculate the percent correct by dividing the number of problems correct with the number of sample problems given.
Useful for students with special education needs including
- intellectual disabilities
- autism
- specific learning disabilities
- functional life skills goals
The special education problems included have been utilized with fourth-graders through high schools students with IEPs.
All students were working on functional math life skills.

I have a group of students that I needed to know about their basic levels and needed to have some work to help. This helped me to figure out exactly what I needed and how to proceed with instruction. Thanks!

I don’t think is worth the amount it cost, it is repetitive, I thought there would be more to it for that price.

This a great way to start our life skills math class. It reviews previously learned skills and supports both readers and non readers so they can access the material.
