Description

Have some fun in December with this special ed math worksheets set!

Our daily math warm ups help students with individualized education program (IEP) life skills goals practice their math skills.

This set also provides valuable data for their teachers to monitor their progress.

For the month of December, we have created a special set of 25 math problems specifically tailored to support students with special needs.

These problems align with the sped math goals and create personalized IEP math goals for your students.

Each day, simply read the math problem on one slide and encourage your students to work it out.

Depending on your group, they can either work independently or you can guide them through the problem as a whole group.

Make sure they record their final answers on the provided weekly SPED math worksheets.

This will not only help them track their progress, but also provide important information for IEP progress monitoring.

Let’s make math enjoyable and engaging for our students while also helping them achieve their IEP goals.

December Special Ed Math Worksheets set includes

  • 25 Bell Ringer Slides with a December themed border
  • Answer Key for Each Question
  • IEP Goals for Math with 7 Categories and 22 Goals
  • Student Recording Sheet with Questions
  • Student Recording Sheet Blank Template
  • How to Use Directions
  • Google Downloads for each (not editable)

Use the helpful sped math goals and categories to determine the specific area of math that the student could improve on.

This will guide you in selecting the right goal for the student to focus on.

If you’re working with students with alternate curriculum or focusing on life skills in special education, I use the Mathematical Application Goals.

These goals provide a versatile tool for progress monitoring, as you can use them with almost every daily practice problem.

You can easily identify the other goals represented in the practice by checking the bottom corner of each individual daily bellringer practice, as well as the bottom border of the student record keeping pages.

To keep track of the student’s progress, save the student record keeping pages as evidence.

By using the student’s answers, you can calculate their percentage of correct answers by dividing the number of problems they got right by the total number of sample problems given.

Remember, the design of these strategies aims to create a supportive and friendly learning environment for our students.

Just realized that you need the year long bundle for the whole school year of special education curriculum?  Click here to download.

*Special Note: Every goal category is represented in this unit but not every goal is. Please manipulate the goals to work for your students’ IEPs as you see fit.
