Clover Jewelry Makes Playing Outside FUN
When I was a little girl, I was โ๏ธ playing outside a lot.ย
Some of my fondest memories are sitting outside in the grass making โ๏ธ clover necklaces. ย
Using clovers you can make a Midwestern version of the Hawaiian lei.ย
I remember being mesmerized when my mom showed us all the different jewelry that could be made out of clovers.
Playing Outside with Flowers
While necklaces are the most popular and possibly the easiest, my sister and I advanced to making more complex creations: bracelets, anklets, crowns, and rings.ย
I continued to make flower jewelry as I grew up and I remember my sister and me showing friends at 4-H camp our creations.

They all thought we were the coolest ๐ geniuses they ever saw.ย Who were we to disagree?
Anyway, now Iโm going to teach you!ย
My sister and I sat down and showed her daughter a great way to love the outdoors, learn to love ๐ flowers, and adore oneself with hippie-like garnishments.ย
Clover Necklaces and More
So, first you are going to go out into your yard and pick about ten โ๏ธ clover flowers making sure you get as long as stem on each flower as you can.
Then, you will start by ๐ tying the end of one clover stem in a simple knot just below the flowering head of a second clover.ย
Next, begin making a โ chain of clovers.ย
Continue adding clovers until you have enough length to make a ๐ crown (my favorite), a necklace, or an anklet.ย

When you have the length of chain you want, tie the ends of the flower chain together to make a circle.ย
Want to make a beautiful ring?ย ๐
Use one clover and tie a loop with the stem.ย
The only rule is to be creative!ย
This fun, relaxing outdoor activity is free, cute, and entertaining for hours.
